What is a megacity?
A mega city is defined as a city or a metropolitan area (which is a region with a large population and its surrounding areas have a smaller population) which is highly populated or an average density. A mega city is generally considered to have a population over 10 million, but the United Nations have said that it is a metro area that is home to over 5 million citizens who live in an area of consistent urban-level density. A megacity can consist of a single and/or a few or more metropolitan areas.
